We All Cosplay
What cosplay have you done? You can’t say none, or your life might be utterly meaningless.
For many of you it is when you attend a wedding or black tie event. Tuxedos are for sure cosplay.
Many of you might do ceremonial dress up for your cultural heritage or religion. That’s cosplay. I had to wear a very different costume while going into a Mormon temple. Just Google it if you are curious.
My daughter loves going to anime conventions as her favorite characters. I cosplay almost every other day with wigs and outfits I’ve collected, even today on my business trip.
I feel cosplay is any dressing up that happens off stage or off camera. But now with so many cameras around and life being a stage, it feels like we are all playing a character, even if it’s you playing you.
If you have been hesitant to dress up out of character or as a new character, then maybe give it a try soon. The entire world becomes more colorful and rich for you and those around you.
Don’t wait for Halloween to have fun, try tomorrow.
