Waking Up To An Alarm
Yesterday I joined three men sitting in the shade under a willow tree. One said he hasn’t woken up to an alarm in 10 years. I reflected on that statement and realized that is ultimate freedom. He wakes up naturally on his own when his body feels it. It is early, with the sun, that he rises.
I set alarms for many things throughout the day, but now I will work towards a life without alarms. One day, when I have mastered time, I will have a life without calendar events, yes I will even drop my calendar. For now, I am bound by time and the expectations of others. This email is an indication of my rigidness and salutation to time.
4:20, I salute you each day.
