Bars in Salt Lake City

On Bourbon Street in New Orleans, I took note of all the fun names of the bars, and there were hundreds. One of them that got me thinking was called 21st Amendment, which is a big piece of law that made drinking legal again. This got me prompting Midjourney while I was in line to eat Oysters at Acme.

What would Salt Lake City look like today if it wasn’t for D&C 89, the Mormon doctrine that spells out the Word of Wisdom, which is Prohibition among the membership. If Brigham Young was able to continue running all his breweries and distilleries today, we may have been a global cultural center for nightlife, of which we currently are not. Below is my idea for a classy bar we could do here in Salt Lake City. I proposed it on Linkedin and most people got the idea.

I was in line for 30 minutes, thinking these oysters must be fantastic (there were). I had time to keep prompting my bar ideas. I really want to do 5 bars in 10 years, and then the Olympics comes and we are ready to welcome the world.

Here is the idea for a gay bar that I thought would be amazing. I posted this one on linkedin and people think I am trying to make enemies. The Theocracy is strong in this State

The next idea is trending a lot right now here in Utah after The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives. I want a bar for soft-swinging. This would be an experience where you get a name tag open entering, and you do “splits” or “exchanges” while you enjoy some fantastic food and drinks. It should be called The Missionary or Missionary:

The next one is more of an older western saloon concept called “New Name” and when you get there you get a new name on your first visit. You come through a veil into a delightful white and gold and wooden interior.

I generated all these in the dark while standing in line. The last one didn’t do as well, but it needs to exist, just can’t make this giant mushroom feature, or we could, but it would be silly. Welcome to Revelations:

This is all I got for today. Pick your fav for me:
