You, but from the Future!
I spent a day in Vienna this summer and it wonderful and vibrant, but it’s moment was hundreds of years ago. We don’t look to Vienna for what is next. It holds so much memory of art and culture when it was the nexus of what was next for much of Europe.
After a day of marveling at what the Habsburgs built during their dynasty, I was trying to make comparables of where Vienna is today and who are today’s Habsburgs. We are entering a technomonachry and it’s Elon and Zuck and a handful of startup dynasties in the making.
At the end of my day walking this city, we had to make it back to the river and the boat that was going to take us down the Danube river. We went through a covered elevated walkway. In a city with limited display of graffiti, like Vienna, this was the spot to find some fresh paint.
My dad was the one to point it out (see below). Ironically he shares my exact same name. He goes by Gregory, I go by Scott, our middle name. I like seeing my name, you know, feels good to see it in writing on a wall. The “X” after really felt right. “Scott X is the Future”. This was a clear sign for me to go by Scott X, because, clearly that is the future.
Now, where shit really gets weird is when I look at the number above, painted with the same reflective silver spray. It is 161. The number means nothing to me. Or at least I didn’t see it until a day later, when I looked at Phi represented as a number, also known as the golden ratio. Phi or Φ = 1.618033988749895 and also happens to be the name of the project I have been deeply engaged with for the last 3 years.
I didn’t need any more signs or tokens from God or the future. This graffiti was there for me. I don’t know who put it there, but they must be from the future and the came back to give me a clue. You can all think I am giving way too much main character energy to this coincidence, but I am unapologetic. I live in a world where we are in communication with our future self and other alien entities. I will be vigilant for any messages they want to put in front of me.
This message is simple for me, and the purpose of the message was clear. It gives me self belief. It reminds me I am on the path I should be on right now. I have many paths, but I see this one very clearly and continue to follow it each day. Reminders, like this one, will continue to guide my path and teach me in subtle ways, sometimes not so subtle.
Happy 420 on this wonderful Monday

Scott X
