The Creation Process
Everyone reading this has been a part of a creation process. Some of us do it daily for work, hobbies, creating a meal or even scheduling a week of events. A life where we get to create seems to be a very fulfilling part of the human experience.
I believe that creating is the only thing we do that matters at all. I don’t even know why it matters or what makes anything matter, but creating feels important, and if we are not creating, something feels incomplete…at least for me.
I have friends who have discontinued their creative sessions upon failing or succeeding in a venture. It seems there is a season of depression for anyone not creating. I don’t think it’s wrong to take a season off from creating to gather your thoughts reignite the will to do it again.
I don’t create as much individually outside of several daily endeavors. I have an email, I create words in sentences when I meet people. I create events to gather people. I create theories and test them frequently. But I don’t have many artifacts and tangible items in the world. I feel that my individual creations are rather mediocre.
My creative process and the flow state for me occurs in a group of creatives. I am very open and contributive when a group creates together.
Together, the outcome is a multiple of what they each could do individually. I find myself at least once a week in a very creative process with a group. I yearn for these moments and feel they are sacred when the are happening.
I often can be found at parties of people talking about politics or discussing what bothers them and to me it’s a clue to what the group should resolve to create together. Rarely do my ideas get activated after the party, but every once in a while an idea is turned into a creation and something is born.
When an idea is acted upon and then created, it gets a unique ID, which is then cataloged in the Encyclopedia of Earth's Creations. In this EEC, there are group projects and individual projects, of which your name can be found on many pages.
I am deep on a group creation right now that will go on for many, many years and it gives me all the meaning I need in life. It matters to me. My creations matter. Your creations matter, even if they only matter to you.
Happy Wednesday to all you creators and a merry 4:20

Today’s email was inspired by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart and his creations. I walked around Vienna where he did his best creations. I watch the movie Amadeus yesterday on the plane and realized he had the unique ability to create solo and have it be 10x even a group creation.
