A History of Networks
I finished listening to this book an hour ago before my flight touched down in slc. I am guilty of using audio books as a way to help me sleep on airplanes. Yet, today I didn’t sleep much because Yuval Noah Harari’s new book is jam packed with facts and insights. The book is hours of detailed research of what potential AI can have on governments and countries in the very near future.
His book, Sapiens, was the first book that I read where I felt the Holy Spirit confirming to me that it is true. It was 2015 when I read the hard cover version and smiled with excitement. Corporations and religions are shared myths we need as human beings to get along peacefully and evolve. His books show me he is someone with a global perspective and the curiosity to turn over every rock to conclude that humans make everything up.
This new book was well summed up in the epilogue. He said we need to work with this new alien specials of computers not against. We need to commit ourselves to building institutions with strong self-correcting mechanism.
