Meeting the Master

Watching him sing feels spiritual, especially with this all white outfit and a voice that is forged for rock.

I first heard this song when it was used on this year’s Warren Miller ski film. Every year for more than 70 something years, Warren Miller makes a ski film to get you pumped of for the Winter.

My dad would take us to these when we were young and living in the Bay Area, far from ski resorts.

My dad was someone who would do the tricks and jumps like the guys in the film. He was pretty hard core. But he still is hard core. As I write this he is in Bolivia summiting mountain tops.

That’s him on the right. He had both his knees replaced due to aggressive wear and tear from skiing. I will probably have to do the same.

Happy Father’s Day around the world!

I have same name as my dad but go by my middle name.

G. Scott Paul
