Kokomo

Why did the Beach Boys not buy and island and name it Kokomo? It would have been such a a crazy use of influencer marketing and capitalism in the 80s.

Driving on the PCH (Pacific Coast Highway) listening to the best of Beach Boys brought this thought to mind.

My favorite song in 1988 was Kokomo and I think it was popular to many that listeners. How could you not wan to go to Kokomo after listening.

Have you been to the Kokomo that Brian Wilson sang of?  No, you haven’t, and no one else has.  I mean, we have been there in our mind’s eye, but not physically.

Enjoy this classic with me today, listen and know that I am eating Mahi Mahi at the Boathouse in Santa Barbara right now as I write and publish my ramblings. I had to stop socializing at lunch and go deep into my phone to make these words in time to get this to you.
