Family Night this Monday

Some of you will remember Family Night. It’s a Mormon tradition, you use Monday night to do some family stuff. It is officially called Family Home Evening and there is plenty on the internet about it.

I was the oldest and most troublesome in my family, so it rarely worked in our home. I think my dad realized we shouldn’t be sitting at home as a family and trying to sing and do prayers and lessons. That type of family night was all a repeat of Sunday, and church was already 3 hours of total snooze fest. So we started doing things that we liked to do as a family like bike, hike, climb, ski. But, some of the best memories of family night working out at home was when we played Uno, Sorry, or Monopoly and had a yummy dessert.

Today, I do family night with Natalie and my 3 girls by watching anime together in our theater room. We try to do it twice a week. Sometimes Monopoly Deal brings us together, and usually we eat out as a family once a week somewhere and maybe a meal at home. Our family is now extended to many friends that we just bring into whatever we are doing.

So, that leads me to this, I am going invite friends to a Family Game Night this Monday at our Convoi offices in Orem. One of our portfolio companies, Modern Games, has some great games to show off that will be releasing soon. Justin, the founder, will be here from California to show us how to play. If we are really lucky we will get the founder of Fortnite to come as well, as he is an advisor.

Below is the invite if you want to join me and Justin and many others for Family Game Night. Bring kids over 8 if you got them. We might run out of games to play so bring your favorite game as a back up:)

Their newest game is a mix of Legos, Minecraft and Pokemon. It’s called ÆRTHLINGS. Sign up here https://lu.ma/3k1bv892

See you soon and happy 420
