Dan, Why Did You Unsubscribe?

I think about you almost every week since March when you opted out.

Was it something I said?

I felt like we went on long walks, then one day you didn’t like what I had to say on our walk.

And then you just stopped calling to hang out.

Was it me?

Or are you needing some time to figure it all out?

Sometimes my energy is not something some people can handle, and I feel like I should change to be more agreeable or acceptable.

But then, maybe I shouldn’t change too much or others will unsubscribe.

Why do words make us feel this way?

No one has ever said they unsubscribed because they were bored with my words, it’s always when I say something that is hard for them to read.

I want to be hard to read and difficult to swallow.

I do unto others what I would want done unto me, I want to read words that tickle my brain and others that cause it to react with emotion.

Daniel, you can do it, you can tell me hard words as to why you unsubscribed. You just emailed “unsubscribe” with no explaining why.

I’ve known you for 27 years, you have something to teach me that I can learn about myself if you just tell me what moved you so.

I’m in the air to LAX for a one night investor Soirée at this place (photo below) in Beverly Hills. Weezer plays in my head as I think about the vibe I hope this party has.
