Have you ever felt this way? Like you have been so betrayed by people or a system that you once trusted. I am feeling that way towards the justice system. It is failing so many of the citizens of this country…even the non citizens who are here doing the best they can to be productive members of our society.
I have had a month of several interactions with this system. I am leaving a 2 star review on the whole experience. Police have been deceitful in front of my children. I now believe that many cops are not in the business of protecting the weak and disenfranchised. I had to witness several who do things that went against logic and love. My house is now one who doesn’t support our cops, and it wasn’t that way a year ago.
It didn’t have to end up this way, but they don’t seem to be looking for positive reviews from the people they serve. You can read and react to this however you like, but you don’t have the information to judge me, so avoid doing that. The best way to take this information is to trust your own judgement and stay true to what you feel is right. I have zero fear of arrest or jail if I am doing what I feel is right and true. That means I am also fine to serve time if I am doing what my heart feels is the correct course of action to protect the innocent.
I will one day do a podcast on what happened to a woman I sponsored to come live here in America from Italy. I have witnessed the worst of racism, bigotry, chauvinistic behavior and it took a lot not to go into a dark despair after observing we are not a free people in our own land. If someone wants to ruin your day, they can call cops and make something up and you are at mercy of how power trip hungry that police force feels that day.
Am I above the law? You and I are always above the law. Anything you feel subjected to that is made up by humans is something you must rise above. The Law of gravity, now that is something to be subject to, but laws of the land and their enforcers…I do not fear you, and you seem to be full of fear. I am above the Law until the Law can love and serve.
