Sermon on the Road

I am driving to East Zion right now to build a cabin on some land with my friend. Sun is bright and shining on the fields and pastures on Highway 89.

Something has felt very real to me as of late. It’s the idea that whatever you are feeling needs to happen, make it happen. If you want to have that baby, do it. If you want that new position, ask for it. Do you want to have that hard conversation with your partner? Probably not…but have it.

I’m a product of moving forward. I try to figure out each day what I can do to be in motion of moving forward. This could be as simple as resting your body for an entire day. Living and aging is forward momentum. Some days you don’t have to do a damn thing other than breathing.

My faith in the Sun and my many hours spent in It’s light, especially at the rising and setting, has given me the strength to be still and listen to my own heart and mind. I am in a place that I am ready to share that light with anyone reading. I want to be in the Sun with any of you who feel like it’s helpful for your forward motion. Sit with me. Even if we use these digital transporters in our hands to connect, we can do so under the same Sun.
