5000 Years of Silver Bows to Silicon
Bitcoin is now larger than silver by market cap. I think this is an event we must all just let sink in for a hot minute. A precious metal that was developed 5000 years ago in Turkey and used throughout the world long before Jesus, Muhammad, Buddha, Ford or Apple has been surpassed by computer money. All the silver in the world is worth less than the 19.64 of 21 million Bitcoin that have been mined
Bitcoin has been challenged by so many of the “great investors of our time”. Well, those investors maybe never sat down to really learn from the next generation of thinkers and investors. We all have models of seeing the world, and we have to be open to our models receiving updates and reconfiguration.
Gold is still the largest market cap of any asset. But it will also one day be passed by Bitcoin. It isn’t hard to see a world in 5 years where Bitcoin passes all public companies, even the great Apple and Microsoft. Bitcoin would have to become 700k per coin to match the market cap of gold, but it’s not impossible to imagine a 10x of Bitcoin in a mere 7 years. I have watched it 10x since 2020. It has 300x since 2015 when I first bought a little bag of coins.

I believe we can all win together, as a global population, where we aren’t picking sides by using money with faces on it of dead leaders, but using science and math to keep bad actors and bad regimes out of our currency.
The Oscars awarded Oppenheimer last night. Some future ceremony will award a film about Satoshi. It takes time to get the story right, to realize the impact of an invention that changes geopolitics and the global economy forever. I can’t wait! I am sure it will be produced soon.
